IT'S GROOMING TIME!

The first time I meet you and your dog(s), I will go through an extensive list of questions in order to make sure that I execute what you want, and if you’re unsure, I am there to explain the variances and offer suggestions. All information is kept in electronic files, so you won’t have to repeat your instructions every time. If a haircut is required, you can see some of my previous work by visiting my PICTURES page and/or my Me So Groomie's Facebook page.

Please call or text 310-709-1588, or email nsampson2014@gmail.com, with your information so I can give you an estimate, but take note that I may have to adjust the price upon visiting your dog, after assessing the services required and factoring the possible complications - mattes and de-shedding being the most common time consuming issues. Please note that I'm currently fully booked with my regular clients and that I have a long waiting list, so I'm unable to accept new prospects at the moment. I'm very sorry about the inconvenience.

If problems are observed during the grooming session (ex: possible ear infection, hotspots, etc), a report will be given to you with suggestions if needed.

On the WELCOME page, I talk about the pros of mobile grooming, but like everything else in life, there is also a few cons, and the biggest one being time management. When scheduling an appointment, I cannot insist enough on the word "around", like "I'll be there around 10am". Traffic in Los Angeles is a huge problem, but sometimes, even though I ask a lot of questions when scheduling a new customer, the coat condition is much worst than anticipated. Sometimes I get somewhere and people are late, or they go and run errands and come back long after I'm finished with the grooming. So, although I do my very best to be everywhere on time and leave a generous buffer in between appointments, "around" can mean that I'll be there 30 minutes earlier or one hour late. Thank you for your understanding!

Cash payments and the following credit cards are accepted.

SERVICES

A grooming session usually takes between 20 minutes to 2 hours, but my average is 1.25 hour for a small/medium size long hair dog. The first time always takes a bit longer as I take a lot of notes, plus your dog and myself learn about each other. The time required to groom your pet depends on a several factors: services, style/cut, age, size, coat condition, behavior, health, etc.

Please note that my weight limit is 30 pounds due to health limitations.

EQUIPMENT & more

THE GROOMING VAN

  • A powerful generator allowing the operation of all the equipment without hooking up to your house for electricity.
  • A 55 gallons tank of fresh water, so no need to hook up to your house for water.
  • A water heather allowing the ideal bath temperature.
  • Air conditioning and room heater, so your pet benefits of the perfect temperature all year long.
  • Workspace is cleaned and tools are disinfected in between each customer.
  • A non-bacteria harboring stainless steel bathtub, which is disinfected between clients.
  • A MDC Romani vacuum system that suctions hair/dander/possible fleas during the haircut, keeps the trimming blades cool (no clipper burns), and leaves a much cleaner and healthier environment.
  • An electric grooming table for maximum comfort for both your pet and the groomer.
  • Bright lighting for precise cutting and styling.
  • Spa music plays in the background via satellite radio, cutting noises from the outside and allowing your dog to relax.

SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS

All products used are natural, ecofriendly and biodegradable. A large variety of products is maintained at all time in order to appropriately treat your pet’s particular coat condition.

EAR CARE

Me So Groomie takes ear cleaning very seriously. I use Zymox Ear Cleaner. I was trained by a vet on how to properly pluck hair and clean ears. This is an example of before and after “ear plucking and cleaning” performed on a Labradoodle.

SOFT FLUFFY TOWELS

Quality microfiber towels are used and washed in hot water at the end of each day for complete disinfection.

THE AIR Muzzle

For small aggressive dogs, I like to use the air muzzle instead of a regular muzzle. The pets feel much more free and happy.

This ball is made out of light plastic, it is adjusted around the neck and stays in place with velcro at the base of the air muzzle.

THE FINISHING TOUCH

  • Bandanas:  hand selected fabric that is pre-washed in warm water, hand cut and seams finished with a professional serger - they can be washed and re-used.
  • Fleece scarfs for winter time: pre-washed in warm water and hand cut.
  • Bows with an elastic band or barrettes.
  • Flowers with an elastic band.
  • Bowties or neckties.
